The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5311(f) Intercity Bus Program provides funding to support and promote connections between rural areas and the national intercity bus system. 

Eligible Entities 

Private operators of intercity bus services. 

Eligible Operating Expenses 

• Drivers and dispatchers 
• Fuel, oil, and tires 
• Repairs and vehicle license tags 
• Insurance and marketing 

Eligible Capital Expenses 

Purchases of over-the-road coaches.
