Partnering

In 1991, the Kansas Contractors Association (KCA) and KDOT created a task force to review and improve relationships between KDOT and contractor personnel. This led to the formation of a joint KCA/KDOT Committee and the first Partnering Workshop in January 1992.

Since then, annual workshops have been held to reinforce the partnering concept for KDOT and KCA employees. The KCA/KDOT Partnering Program has greatly contributed to the successful completion of the last two highway programs and is playing a crucial role in the delivery of the current IKE Program.
