The Kansas Air Service Development Incentive (KASDI) Program offers grants to support air service development at commercial service airports in Kansas. This program is designed to enhance air service development and improve the overall air travel experience in Kansas.
Eligibility
- Open to any Kansas Commercial Service Airport certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Local entities representing commercial service airports can also apply.
Funding Requirements
- A minimum local match of 20% is required.
- Applicants must verify the local match funding.
Grant Recipient Requirements
- Minimum Revenue Guarantee (MRG) Agreement: Negotiate and execute an MRG agreement with an air service provider, including thresholds for grant funding drawdown triggers.
- Escrow Agreement: Enter into an Escrow Agreement with the State.
- Local Funds Deposit: Deposit local funds (not committed to a marketing campaign) into an escrow account to apply toward the MRG before using state KASDI funds.
Project Support
State KASDI funds are used for MRG reimbursements. Recipients are encouraged to use the local match (or part of it) to fund a marketing campaign supporting their KASDI project.
