Projects that promote safety, improve access or mobility and update transportation technology can receive financial assistance in the Kansas Department of Transportation’s Innovative Technology Program.
“The Innovative Technology Program is a great opportunity to assist rural and urban areas with funding to move forward with their innovative ideas to improve their day-to-day governmental responsibilities through the use of technology and data,” said KDOT Innovative Technologies Director Mike Floberg.
An informational webinar about the program will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19. To participate, the webinar link is https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3502624450969828880
The program has $2 million available this fiscal year. A minimum of 25% non-state cash match is required, and additional consideration will be given to applications that contribute more.
The deadline for applications is Nov. 19, and selected projects will be announced in mid-December.
