Post Date:03/04/2021

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to begin a field survey on Monday, Mar. 8 for the detailed design of proposed bridge improvement on McDowell Creek Rd. in Geary County.

The location surveyed is for the bridge over I-70, located 7.69 miles northeast of K-57 (Exit 307).

The survey will take place on the existing highway alignment.

KDOT expects the survey to be completed by Mar. 19. Activities include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the corridor.

A member of the survey crew will contact property owners or tenants for permission to enter private property.

Kara LaRiviere, Field Survey Project Manager, of BG Consultants will be in charge of this survey for KDOT. Persons with questions may contact KDOT Public Affairs Manager Ashley Perez at (785)826-6799.
