The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to begin a field survey on Monday, April 4 to gather information that is necessary for the detailed design of the proposed improvement for the bridge replacement on J. Hill Road over I-70 in Geary County, 2.37 miles east of the west US-40B junction.
The survey will take place on the existing highway alignment.
KDOT expects the survey to be completed by May 2. Activities include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the corridor.
A member of the survey crew will contact property owners or tenants for permission to enter private property.
Kara LaRiviere, P.S., Survey Project Manager, will be in charge of this survey for KDOT. Persons with questions may contact KDOT Public Affairs Manager Ashley Perez at (785)826-6799.
