Traffic will shift to the new U.S. 83 alignment between 60th Road and 90th Road in Haskell County on Wednesday, Jan.13, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. In addition, 50th Road west of U.S. 83 in Haskell County will close for approximately two weeks as work continues on the north section of the new alignment and passing lanes.

Venture Corporation of Great Bend is the contractor on this $24 million project, which is expected to be completed in July.
