KDOT to host virtual Local Consult meeting Oct. 24

Meeting will focus on transportation priorities across the state

Post Date:10/16/2023

The Kansas Department of Transportation is hosting nine meetings in October as part of the Eisenhower Legacy Transportation Program (IKE) Local Consult process. KDOT holds Local Consult meetings every two years to discuss regional transportation project priorities with Kansans.

Of the eight in person meetings, the last two meetings are set to take place this week in Lenexa and Wichita. However, the remaining gathering will be a virtual meeting for anyone who was unable to attend any of the in-person meetings.

KDOT’s Local Consult Virtual Meeting is open to the public and set for Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Please register here - https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMvf-uppjMsHdaOpjIXnRlJQV-xQrcEpb1A.

Those who attend will have an opportunity to share their region’s transportation priorities, hear about more investments being made in transportation and learn about various grant funding programs available through KDOT. It is an important step in collecting public input for the IKE program – the state’s current 10-year transportation improvement program.
