A field survey for proposed traffic signal, pedestrian ramp and crosswalk improvements on U.S. 56 in Great Bend is expected to start around Wednesday, Jan. 25.
The improvements would be at U.S. 56 and McKinley Street.
The field survey, to gather information needed for the detailed design of the proposed improvements, is expected to be completed by Jan. 31.
A member of the survey crew first will contact property owners and/or tenants for permission to enter private property. Survey activities will include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the project limits.
Levi Kurtzer, with the consultant firm Wilson & Company, will be in charge of this survey.
