The week of June 17 the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) expects to start a repair project at the Cherry Creek bridge and overflow bridge on U.S. 54 in Woodson County.
The bridges are 4 miles west of Piqua. Temporary signals will control one-lane traffic at the work zone; expect brief delays. There is a driving lane width restriction of 12 feet. Weather permitting, the repairs should be completed by early November.
KDOT awarded the construction contract of $879,901 to Mission Construction Co. Inc., St. Paul, Kansas.
