A Kansas Department of Transportation mill and overlay project is underway on K-7. The 33-mile project spans from the northern city limit of Atchison to the Nebraska state line in Doniphan County.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane in the active work area and directed by a pilot car and flaggers. Drivers should plan for delays of up to 15 minutes.
An 11-foot width restriction will also be in place.
Work occur Monday through Friday during daylight hours and is expected to be complete in early November. Bettis Asphalt & Construction Inc., of Topeka, is the $5.6 million project’s contractor.
